From corporate office to an office of saw dust.
Greetings from the Great North Woods. My name is Mike Kanyetzny. I discovered my passion for woodworking over 10 years ago. It started out as a hobby, with my first big project, making a crib for my grandson. Next were the toy chests and toy bins to match the cribs. Soon I was receiving orders from family and friends. Working in my workshop brought so much joy to me, that I decided it was time for me to walk away from the corporate world, so my wife Patty and I could start our business, Custom Heirloom Creations LLC. It’s not the must luxurious job, but a very rewarding one when people see their handcrafted piece of furniture.

In the beginning I would have never thought that I would be making heirloom quality furniture. However, I remember a lesson my dad, a master tool designer, taught me at a young age. “Things that are handmade and of high quality are treasured by people and can be used for a lifetime”. I enjoy making quality furniture that I know will not end up in a landfill. Due to the handcrafted nature of my furniture, it may be more costly to produce than a mass merchant, but each piece is unique and designed to be passed along with pride to future generations.

We have two locations that we work out of, our home in Andover, MN and our cabin in Hackensack, MN.

Please let me know if there is something you do not see that is of interest to you. We can work together to create something you will truly enjoy
